Daniela Ruah - Kensi Blye - NCIS Los Angeles

It's no secret that one of my favorite TV shows is NCIS.
So when NCIS: Los Angeles came out, I was all over it.
It took a couple of episodes, but the show very quickly grew on me.
And of course since this blog is about beautiful women, and I'm talking about NCIS: Los Angeles, I have to mention OSP Junior Field Agent Kensi Blye as played by the lovely Daniela Ruah.
Daniela really isnt just lovely, she has something about her that pushes her past just another pretty face.
She was born on December 2, 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Daniela is Portuguese/American, and actually started her acting career in Portugal at the age of sixteen.
At the age of eighteen she moved to London, England and enrolled at the London Metropolitan University, studying Performing Arts.
After that, she went back to Portugal, and did some television series, short films and theatre.
Then Daniela went to New York and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Besides NCIS: Los Angeles, she will be appearing in the film Red Tails, about the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American pilots to fly in a combat squadron during World War II.

And in case you wondered, Daniela has a birthmark in her right eye that makes it look like she has two different colored eyes, one hazel and one black.

The Beautiful Women of Eastwick

Moving into the most beautiful women of the new TV season, the first stop has to be ABC's Eastwick.
The series is based on the 1984 novel by John Updike and of course the 1987 film adaptation of the novel that starred Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer.
There was also a musical produced in 2000.

Eastwick (to me at least) feels almost like a sequel to the film although really it's not.
I think it may have been better if they actually played it as a sequel, but it's a bit late for that now...LOL

The show itself feels like a bit of Desperate Housewives, Gilmore Girls, Charmed and the original film all mixed up together.
It gets mixed reviews, but I like it.
But I like it in the " this has potential it they keep going" way, kinda like Dollhouse.


The first beautiful woman on the show is Rebecca Romijn as Roxanne Torcoletti.
Roxanne kinda parallels Cher's character Alexandra Medford in the original film.
Rebecca was Mystique in the X-Men movies, Alexis Meade on Ugly Betty and had her own show in 2006, Pepper Dennis.


Next up we have Lindsay Price as Joanna Frankel.
Joanna is based on Susan Sarandon's character Jane Spofford in the original film.
Lindsay has appeared on Lipstick Jungle, All My Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Beverly Hills 90210.
And for some reason I always confuse her with CSI's Liz Vassey.
Lindsay previously appeared with Rebecca in Pepper Dennis.


The gorgeous Jaime Ray Newman is Kat Gardener.
Kat is loosely based on Michelle Pfeiffer as Sukie Ridgemont in the original movie.
Of course I have already done one write up on Jaime because of her role on SyFy's Eureka.


And I have to mention Sara Rue as Joanna's BFF Penny Higgins because her loyal internet followers would lynch me if I didn't...LOL
If you haven't been watching TV for awhile, you may only remember Sara as Stephanie, Leonard's girlfriend on The Big Bang Theory.
But she also has appeared on Less Than Perfect, Will & Grace and Two and a Half Men.
